Hi Eric and fellow Tea Party organizers,

I am Tony Powers, organizer of last April's Tax Day Tea Party in Augusta, GA which was attended by 3,200 patriots. I am very excited to see the organization starting this early and looking forward to another even larger event on April 15th 2010. As the owner of a TalkRadio1230 AM and Medici Media, Inc. Advertising and Marketing, we may have a little more advantage promoting our Tea Party here and I will be glad to offer advice to anyone organizing a Tea Party in their city.

This year will be a "cookie cutter" event because we now have one successful Tea Party under our belts and just need to implement our successful plan from last year (exept we have more time to plan).

We have two Georgia Congressional Districts and one South Carolina Congressional District that are in our the Augusta, Ga-Aiken, SC (Central Savannah River Area) One in Georgia is held by democrat John Barrow (who we hope to replace with a conservative Republican) and the other in Georgia is Dr. Paul Brown who is a wildly popular Republican that we believe is in a comfortable situation and will be re-elected easily. In South Carolina District Three we have a great field of Republicans vying for Gresham Barrett's (He's running for Governor) seat. I believe that seat to be safely in Republican control but we will not be complacent. Again, I am glad that we are getting such an early start and I urge each of you to go ahead and confirm your venues and start booking the best speakers possible while most of them are still available. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need suggestions. Good Luck and GOD BLESS!

Today is the day!! Last night, while I was at the Capitol preparing today, I met a couple from Houston who is town specifically for the Tea Party. Apparently, all the hotels we setup for discounted rates on atlantateaparty.net are sold out. Every metro county has a major meetup planned before the actual Atlanta Tea Party. We have several more Tea Parties planned throughout the state. There are over 700 planned nationally. It is going to be an incredible day!

Good plan, Tricia!
People are coming in from every direction. We have a good size group traveling in by bus from Marietta. Thousands are coming in from the east and others from the south and west. This will be a quality gathering. Regardless of Party affiliation, everyone is opposed to the liberal fascism oozing from our elected officials in the District of Columbia. Our message is loud and clear. I hope they're listening. Otherwise, this will simply be a rehearsal of things to come.

Very intriguing concept. The question in my mind is, what are the mechanics of repealing the 16th Amendment and instituting the 28th & 29th Amendments. I believe the concepts of "interposition' and "nullification" should be applied, thereby puttin...
